Buying Time A Jaunt in Time and Space Mondo Fax 9780971009509 Books Reviews

  • This book was recommended by a friend of mine, and I read it on a plane. I found myself drawn to the crazy plot, and the characters. The fantasy brings home some real issues such as generational bridging, ethnic and cultural diversity, as well as the value of time. It's easy to get through, and left me with a great feeling.
  • This book cleverly takes ordinary people of diverse backgrounds into a place where time is not given away free. I especially enjoyed the yarns, and the characters who revealed themselves and grew as the story did. I highly recommend this.

  • This book is deliciously satistfying to the imaginative mind! If your looking for diverse science fiction with creativity and a flare for the unusal, this book has it! A gay man, a homeless man, two African woman and a Hispanic woman thrown into utter confusion when they are taken to Chronos a planet of all things TIME. A MUST READ book for all fans of anything time travel even though this book does not really deal in time travel, it does deal with TIME and it is worth all the time and money to read!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
  • Is BUYING TIME by Mondo Fax the Singing Judge the sort of fiction we will be reading more and more often in the future? I hope so. Its high time to give up delving into the stale old past. This book is futuristic, well written, insightful, and more than anything very enjoyable. I recommend it warmly.

  • I very much enjoyed the evolution of each one of the characters in the story. Coming from diverse backgrounds, they brought with them individual values specific to their lifestyles.
The writing is engaging, witty, and thought provoking, and the characters relatable.
