Sparks fly when opposites attract, and so it goes with Ciaran Lanigan and Bliss Heywood. He's the handsome playboy. She's the studious executive. And their chemistry? It's off the charts.

But beneath his charming facade, Ciaran is a haunted man. And the more he opens up to Bliss, the less she's sure she can trust him. Is he really in danger, or is he just a danger to Bliss? Can two people who love with all their hearts face the ever-lurking threats of secrets, lies, and family together?

Blue Moon is the second book in Tess Thompson's acclaimed Blue Mountain series but may be enjoyed as a stand-alone novel.

"Story. I enjoyed the characters. Didn't need the sex scenes just skipped over those. Also although there was only a few times I still didn't like the swearing and it was not necessary."

Blue Moon The Blue Mountain Series Book 2 Audible Audio Edition Tess Thompson Amanda McKibbin Ogle Books Reviews

  • I was so disappointed in this book. I wanted it because I liked book one. But had to skip over several times of sex scenes. A good author leaves that to imagination.
  • Bliss, the daughter of a stoned and indifferent hippie mother, is raised by her older sister. She makes her mark in the world by becoming a high-powered, hard-core business executive in the corporate world – kind of the female version of Edward Lewis in Pretty Woman. She doesn’t believe in love and marriage and baby makes three. However, when she is unexpectedly and unfairly fired as CEO, she takes stock of her life and realizes a big bank account and peer accolades fall short of fulfilling her life. She flees Portland to visit her sister in Idaho, (who is about to be engaged to a billionaire) and in a flush of trying to bring meaning to her life, takes with her a homeless man and his three-legged dog, and her regular limo driver. Upon arrival in a very small town, more quirky characters are added to the mix, particularly Miss Pennington and Moonstone. But Bliss’ main new acquaintance is Ciaran, billionaire brother of the sister’s fiancé. He is the typical love-and-leave-em-wanting-more playboy who moves so fast he doesn’t get grass stains on his feet, much less gather any moss. Everyone warns Bliss against getting involved, but this guy is the dictionary definition of hot. He’s also hunted and haunted – not at all what he appears to be. This is an entertaining read. I gave it three stars instead of four because there were sex scenes that were like overdone inserts rather than being pertinent to the story. It is well written with interesting characters. I recommend it.

  • Tess Thompson has a way of writing that pulls me in every time. I enjoyed this book so much. It has it all and I do mean all. Love, hate, hurt, tears, mystery, thriller, pain and more love than you’ll ever think possible. It’s the second book in the Blue Mountain series. About Bliss who is Blythe’s younger sister. You met Blythe in the first book, Blue Midnight. She and Kevan’s love story. Now you get Bliss and Ciaran’s story. And what a story it is. You will fall in love with this family, all of them. Bliss is a very kind hearted woman despite how she thinks of herself. Ciaran cares more than he realizes too. It’s such a good book that you won’t be able to put it down. From the first page to the last you will be hooked. I have to admit I could have finished this on a day sooner but the last 10% I wanted to savor for sure. It was so intense and lots of questions answered. Truths came out and brothers will be ok again. It’s a definite page turner. I think I liked this one a tiny bit better than the first book. But it’s better if you read then in order. I found out there will be a couple more in this series and I can’t wait. Any book by Tess Thompson is so well worth the read. She can weave a story like no one else. Thank you for writing this Ms Thompson. It’s a big unlimited star but I can only give it 5
  • Now that Blythe and Kevan are engaged and living together, they are hosting Thanksgiving. Ciaran has come home. Bliss has arrived too and has a lot going on, decisions to be made. She has been warned, repeatedly, to stay away from Ciaran, a known playboy and womanizer. That doesn't happen, of course. He tells her things about his life he has never told anyone.

A very good story with secrets, romances, and danger. I would definitely recommend this book to others.
  • I have been eagerly awaiting the second book in the Blue Mountain series by Tess Thompson. I fell in love with Blythe, and couldn't wait to read about her sister, Bliss. I can tell you that I was not disappointed! I identified with Bliss, working at a corporate job, and her love of shopping at Nordstrom. After a series of unfortunate events, Bliss ends up in Idaho with her driver, and a homeless man and his dog, to celebrate Thanksgiving with her sister, Blythe. Of course, because this is a Tess Thompson book, romance and mystery ensues. I tried to read this one slowly, to savor Ms. Thompson's beautiful writing. I don't want to give away too much of the plot, but suffice it to say that I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and look forward to more in the Blue Mountain series. I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
  • My first Tess Thompson read. The writing is very good. Excellent story with wonderful characters. It was very hard to put down at bedtime. I love Henry, the driver and Sam the homeless man with his dog sweetheart. Bliss and Ciaran are a wonderful pair and it keeps you wondering what will happen next or who the next character is coming in to the story. Very good enjoyed it very much.
