"LOVE HARRY POTTER! I have already listened to Jim Dale's version of all the books. I thought I would give Stephen Fry a chance especially since he got high reviews. His voice does take some getting used to, but he is just as good a narrator as Jim Dale is once you get used to him. This audio collection is the English version though, and I am reading along with the American version of the books. I did not think it would matter to me that some of the vocabulary is different, but it does. This, however does not take away from the fact that these CD's are excellent and come in a very sturdy well marked collectable box. I am extremely pleased with this collection. For me, it was worth the price and will be something we can pass down from generation to generation."

- I didn't realize precisely what I ordered when I picked this out. I got it mostly because the price was more affordable than the other sets. When I received it I was impressed by the box set and how pretty it is. The first thing I noticed is that the first book is Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. That didn't bother me at all as that is the original British title. Second, I didn't look before purchasing at the voice actor doing the reading. It is Steven Fry, not Jim Dale. I love Jim Dale's versions of these audio books, so at first I was disappointed that it was not him. After listening to the first book however, Steven Fry has grown on me and is a close second. I'm writing the review so that if Jim Dale is who you are looking for this is not it, but it is a very good set, with a very pretty box for storage.

- Stephen Fry is sublime reading all of J.K. Rowling's books in this series. He brings the characters to life - each one - from Ron, Harry and Hermione to Winky, Dursley and Dumbledore! This is hands down the best purchase I have made this year. Stephen Fry's reading is close to perfection.
- I absolutely love Stephen Fry's version! He does a phenomenal job & though I've read the books so many times listening to him was highly enjoyable. Most of his "voices" (especially Hagrid) are just spot on. Yes, it's a little expensive but it's truly worth it. This arrives well wrapped & protected, in a nice box, and it was in perfect condition.
- My daughter loves everything about Harry Potter and has been a fan since they first came out. This was a gift for her birthday, and she is excited to share it with her children. It is easy to see why the reader receives such accolades and awards!
- I am a fan and I knew it was going to be 'the best' especially with Mr. Fry doing the reading!
- Stephen Fry does a marvelous job in reading these novels. I can't image anyone else performing this audio reading!! Just wonderful for any Potter fan!!
- The only complaint I have is that it's on so many discs (i.e.No Complaints). Five Stars across the board and elated to have this set.
